Enjoy the beautiful songs of the movie Anarkali (1953) directed by Nandlal Jaswantlal depicting the life of Mughal prince Jehangir and his love for a common girl Anarkali which brings him into conflict with his father, the emperor Akbar (this story was also the basis of the legendary film ‘Mughal E Azam’

The music director was C Ramachandra, also known as Annasaheb, a renowned composer of Hindi and regional film music in the early decades of independent India. He developed a great working relationship with the nightingale of India, Lata Mangeshkar.
